When and Where is the event?
This year Comic-Con will be held on Thursday July 20- Sunday July 23, at the San Diego Convention Center

What should I pack for my trip?
July is one of the hottest months for San Diego so pack light for the warm weather. If you’re planning to wear a costume, keep the heat in mind by using breathable materials.

What am I allowed to bring into the Convention Center?
Click HERE for the official rules and guidelines for 2017. Important tips to note from the 2016 policies:

  • Costume weapons must be inspected at the Costume Props Deal
  • Recording during panels or live streaming of any program is prohibited
  • No selfie sticks, hover boards, or handouts allowed
  • No rolling luggage, over-sized strollers, pets, or smoking allowed

How am I going to get around town or to the event from the hotel?
If you plan to drive your own car keep in mind that parking lots can vary in cost depending on the time of day and location. Click HERE to view the locations and prices of lots around town. If you’re coming into town from a farther point and don’t have a car,  Uber, Lyft, shared ride services, and the trolley can be a convenient option. The trolley has one-day passes for $5 which can take you to one of the two stops downtown that are across the street from the convention center.

What else should I see while I’m in San Diego?
If you’re visiting from out of town and are interested in seeing more around the city there is plenty to enjoy. San Diego staples include Balboa Park, The USS Midway Museum, and the Unconditional Surrender Statue on the pier. If you have a spare day consider spending it at Seaport Village or maybe even take the ferry to Coronado and explore the famous Hotel Del Coronado.

How can I recuperate between days?
Ocean Park Inn offers room service and in-room massages to help you unwind after a long day of walking around the convention. Also, enjoy the hot tub, pool, and beach access to help you relax and prepare for the next day. Click HERE for a detailed list of the amenities available to you at our hotel.
