Thursday, July 12th
Drag Me to the Del:
Get ready for Pride 2018 with a legendary drag show and dance party starring some of your favorites from Rupaul’s Drag Race stars like Lady Bunny, Alyssa Edwards and more. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8:30pm. All ticket proceeds benefit the San Diego LGBT Community Center and San Diego Pride.
Friday, July 13th
Hillcrest Block Party:
The block party is back and better than ever! This party will have you dancing ‘til you drop, taking place from 2pm-11pm at Pride Plaza. You won’t want to miss the DJ’s, dancing, beer gardens, food trucks, and giant Ferris-Wheel which is the best place to see Hillcrest’s enormous 20’x30’ Rainbow Pride Flag!
Saturday, July 14th
The Annual Pride 5K begins bright and early at 9:30am on the corner of University and Centre St. The race is a great opportunity to run the parade route before it begins! The Pride 5K features gear checks, after-race snacks, ChronoTrack RFID tags (to record your true time), and high-quality tech t-shirts to all participants.
Sunday, July 15th
Pride World Forum:
Join LGBTQI leaders from all around the world to learn more about the struggles and triumphs of the communities in different countries such as France, Vietnam, Bulgaria, and more. The event takes place from 10:30am-12pm at the San Diego History Center with free guided tours of the brand new LGBTQ+SD exhibit to follow.
Monday, July 16th
Following all of the festivities, the Hillcrest Town Council will be hosting a clean-up event from 7:30am-12pm to bring the shine back to the neighborhood. Volunteers will meet at Pardon My French Bar & Kitchen for instructions, cleaning supplies and complimentary breakfast treats. Following the clean-up is a celebration lunch hosted by MO’s Bar and Grill where appetizers and drinks will be provided by MO’s Universe.
