Walk on the cliffs above Torrey Pines State Beach for the most majestic hike of your life. The 1,750-acre reserve is dedicated to preserving the Torrey Pine tree and other indigenous wildlife in its native environment. The park offers hiking trails for all levels, as well. Make sure to have your camera ready!

Surfing, kayaking and snorkeling are some of the best ways to enjoy the beautiful beaches of La Jolla. There are several surfing locations around the area depending on your experience level. If you’re just starting out, La Jolla Shores is the place for you with its predictable waves. Local surf schools offer lessons, as well. But if you’re seeking adventure, definitely head over to La Jolla Cove for some large waves. Surf’s up!

La Jolla Kayak offers a Kayak and Snorkel Tour, where you can paddle your way out onto the water and dive right in to explore marine life. Don’t miss your chance to swim alongside brightly colored Garibaldi, harmless leopard sharks, sea lions, and lush kelp forests.

Farmers Insurance Open

Watch some of the best golfers in the world, including Tiger Woods, as they tee off at one of the most exquisite courses. Farmers Insurance Open will be held at Torrey Pines Golf Course, which has breathtaking ocean views and is the home of the 2008 and 2021 U.S. Open. Visit the website a week before the tournament to view the tee times.

Here’s a tip: Cameras are only allowed during practice round, so purchase a ticket for Wednesday if you want to get a photo with your favorite golfer.
