Have you ever longed for the opportunity to head on over to Germany to sample several different types of beer and experience firsthand the exciting event known as Oktoberfest? Luckily, this year you won’t have to travel quite so far! Look no further than Southern California’s version of the famous event at this year’s Ocean Beach Oktoberfest. This 21+ event has been an institution in San Diego for over 20 years and has become so popular that it has expanded to two nights.
In keeping with the Munich tradition, there will be 15 – 20 beers from local breweries available for sample. For your musical entertainment, there will 2 stages filled with amazing local bands & DJ’s. Plus, there are events and contests throughout the weekend to show off your skills.
The OB Oktoberfest is held the 2nd weekend of October at the intersection of Newport Avenue and Abbott Street, at the foot of the Ocean Beach pier. It’s just 5 miles from Ocean Park Inn. So all of you 21 and ups, come out and party like it’s Munich, 1810!
