Go on a Tour of Mission Bay

In the heart of the city lies the Mission Bay Park, an area with countless outdoor activities, from kayaking to to wake boarding. Go on a night tour of the bay on a stand-up paddle board with the Mission Bay Aquatic Center or go ride a jet back above the bay through the Mission Bay Sports Center. Both organizations offer activities that will give you a new perspective on the bay and are offered most days of the year.

Experience Downtown San Diego

In the mood for good food, cold beer and live music? Downtown’s Quartyard is a go-to for enjoying cocktails, craft beer and corn hole. It also doubles as a concert venue and has hosted Skrillex, Milky Chance, Dillon Francis and Stephen Marley. They’ve even attached a dog park. Find more events on their calendar.

The shallow coastline of La Jolla, just minutes from Ocean Park Inn, makes it a gem for snorkeling and exploring the plentiful marine life of San Diego. In the summer months, southern California’s largest leopard shark colony lives in La Jolla. These harmless sharks, ranging from three to five feet, swim along the ocean floor looking for crustaceans to eat. Book a snorkel excursion and learn more while admiring these creatures under water. Take your Dog to the Beach

Relax at the beach with family and friends…and even your dog! Coronado Dog Beach, Ocean Beach Dog Beach and Fiesta Island are all off-leash dog beaches, dedicated to wet hair and wagging tails.
