46th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights

Eighty boats beautifully decorated sailing the San Diego Bay makes for a memorable tradition. The parade starts from Shelter Island and ends at Coronado. This year’s theme is “Arrrgh! A Pirate’s Christmas.”

Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade

Catch America’s largest balloon parade at Waterfront Park! To celebrate the Holiday Bowl, marching bands, floats, drill teams and giant balloons will parade down the beautiful waterfront.
Here’s a tip: take the trolley to the parade and then to SDCCU Stadium for the 40th annual Holiday Bowl and the FanZone.

Old Town Holiday in the Park

A transformation you’ve all been waiting for! This season, stores, restaurants and museums at Merchant in the Parks will be decked with Christmas lights, as well as have extended hours for you to find perfect presents. Sing along to Christmas carols while enjoying a special holiday treat around the fireplace in the plaza sponsored by Fiesta de Reyes.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Have a wonderfully whimsical Christmas with “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” production at The Old Globe! Dance and sing along to family favorites like “This Time of Year,” “Santa for a Day” and “Fah Who Doraze.”

Jungle Bells

Jungle all the way this Christmas! Walk through the Zoo’s Northern Frontier’s Holiday Forest (open from 3PM-8PM) featuring a trail of specially lit trees that will lead to winter-loving animals. A day at the zoo will also include acrobats, musicians, a 4-D ride that duplicates the Polar Express, and a zoo-themed version of “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

Legoland Snow Days

Get ready to be mesmerized by the park’s 30-foot Lego Christmas tree, complete with Lego ornaments, as well as take memorable photos with a life-size Lego Santa. You also won’t want to miss a performance by the Yule Tides, a singing group of elves.
Here’s a bonus for you and your family: the SeaLife Aquarium next door will be celebrating the holidays with a Christmas-themed dive show featuring Santa.
