One of the many benefits of choosing to stay at Ocean Park Inn during your San Diegan travels is the location. The Ocean Park Inn offers the ability to sleep in to the sound of crashing waves each day, hang out by the beach all afternoon, or take a short drive to one of many exciting nearby attractions. Regardless of the time of year, San Diego is never short on options when it comes to fun events to attend. Take for instance the opportunity to enjoy the famous Summer weather while experiencing an event that is educational, emotional and appropriate for all ages at the San Diego Natural History Museum in Balboa Park.

The San Diego Natural History Museum, is currently hosting Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. It’s been 100 years since the Titanic, the largest ship of its time, sank into the Atlantic Ocean. After the RMS Titanic, Inc., discovered the ship in 1985 their mission has been to faithfully and respectfully preserve the memory of the Titanic and those who lost their lives during this tragedy. From now until September 9, 2012, visitors can experience the history of the Titanic through the exhibit’s showcase of 200 artifacts retrieved from the wreck site of the Titanic. The exhibit even allows you to envision being a real passenger onboard the ship as you explore vivid recreations of her interior.

This showing is only available for a limited engagement and is definitely a must-see attraction while visiting San Diego in 2012. Special discounts are available at the San Diego Natural History museum for museum members, students, children, seniors, military and groups of 10 or more.
