Street Festivals are the perfect event for families looking to spend a day enjoying the California sunshine and local fare. The Adams Avenue Street Fair is an annual event that will be run the weekend of September 28-29, 2013. Held in the Normal Heights business district, the street fair is just a 10 minute ride from your plush room at Pacific Beach’s Ocean Park Inn. Offering fun for all ages, the Adams Avenue Street Fair is fun, enjoyable and best of all: FREE! The event will close down 10 blocks of Adams Avenue to make room for 350 arts and crafts, retail, and food booths. Parents can also enjoy the Beer Gardens while the kids spend the day going on the giant carnival rides! This San Diego festival truly has something for everyone.

On top of the great opportunities to shop, eat, drink, and play are 7 stages boasting over 90 musical acts during the fair. A variety of genres will be showcased during the weekend, including: Rock, Americana, Jazz, Pop, Indie, R&B, and Blues. It’s a great way to experiment with different genres and see if you have been missing out on a hidden gem or amazing local band. Rock music lovers will enjoy Strawberry Alarm Clock, The Paladins, Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper. If you happen to be feeling the Blues, guitarist Coco Montoya or Junior Watson will suit you perfectly. There will even be a performance by the 13-piece Puerto Rican-based ensemble Piena Libre, so no musical taste will go untouched!
